Oh Boy!

I said I would do anything to help pay back Make-A-Wish and help pay it forward for other Wish Kids and Wish Families. I am now putting my feet where my mouth is. (As opposed to putting my foot in my mouth.) I have officially signed up for the Fifth Third River Bank Run 5K (not so presumptuous as to go for the whole marathon my first time out) and will be raising money for Make-A-Wish every step of the way!

 

Feel free to lend support in any way that you can, a donation, a high-five or possibly offer to carry me across the finish-line. If this goes well, I'll try for the 10K next year. (Did I just put that in writing?)

In all honesty, I have been wanting to start running for a while now. Once I found out that Make-A-Wish could benefit from my completely insane thought of joining the River Bank Run...and knowing I could start with an itty-bitty 5K race, I decided it was time. So, off I go, one step at a time.

Wearing her Wish Heroes hat, playing out her "Math Adventure to the Moon" video from her new Leapster Explorer. She keeps yelling out, "Oh no! The fuel gauge is empty! That's weird, when we left it was on full!" Hee Hee! I hope she can apply this amazing memory to her schoolwork in the future.
